I have found a Sumter Distrct SC deed dated Jan 1811. John Baker bought land from John Byrd, Margaret Byrd, William S. Byrd and James Newell. Does anyone know if or how these families might be related? Did John Baker marry as wife number one, A Byrd or a Newell? John's second wife was Ester Hickson daughter of Reuben Hickson and wife uknown. Thanks for any help anyone can supply. Deborah Byrd
