    3. First of all....as an introduction...I am [email protected] name bubba McElveen....I have real interest in all of Sumter's history.....I have not done any work on the red bones other that I have McDonald Furman's file that I purchased from the Univ. of S. C. Library....a copy has been placed in the research center in Sumter....may be in the archives portion of the building.....There are some of the decendants of the red bones that Furman mentions in his writings but I have not been able to make contact with any....I paid 20 to 25.00 for the file in Columbia....and have also picked up clippings from the Charleston News & Courier and The Watchman and Southron......don't think I have sent these copies to our local archives.....if you have his story on the frog (?) at Nasty Branch turning into a Prince.....would like to get a copy....have most of it but the bottom of the column and conclusion of the story is missing....it is wonderful story.....hope you have it and if you do ....how may I obtain it.......another thing....Furman lived at "Corn Hill" plantation......do you know where this location might be today???....Thanks very much......Mayor Bubba -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Tuesday, September 22, 1998 10:52 PM Subject: Re: [SCSUMTER-L] Mapping >Dear Unknown , >I was most interested in your discussion on MacDonald Furman.
