Hello to all from Myrtle Beach, SC! Even though we are quite close to Sumter and have family there, I was very happy to see this list! Thanks to everyone who makes this possible! I have been researching my PRINGLES from Sumter District, SC, for more than 25 yrs., but continue to have trouble with some of the earliest ones. It is difficult to find people who are searching PRINGLES from Sumter. I do have a lot of info on the PRINGLES from the Mayesville area. Most of ours are buried at the Concord Presbyterian Church on the Brewington Road. I will gladly share any info that I have. Now for my dilemma! William PRINGLE had a will probated in Sumter, 1820. He was married to Elizabeth MCCOY, dau of Elijah MCOY. According to an old family Bible, William PRINGLE was the son of William PRINGLE who married Mary MCCOY, dau of Elijah. (I think these must have been daus. of Elijah, Sr. and Elijah, Jr. - making them aunt and neice.) I have a copy of William's (which one?) pension request as a soldier of the Revolutionary War. In it, he names John PRINGLE as his father. It also seems that they may have lived the Old Kershaw District before the Sumter District. I need proof as to the above or other info to disprove it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing from PRINGLE searchers! Keep Looking UP!
