    3. STATE OF SOUTH-CAROLINA, } SUMTER DISTRICT. } IN ORDINARY. THESE are to authorize and empower you, or any three of you whose names are here under-written, to repair to all such parts and places within this State, as you shall be directed unto by John Lavender administrator of the Estate of Nancy Coker late of said district deceased, wheresoever any of the Goods and Chattels of the said deceased are or do remain within the said parts and places, and which shall be shown unto you by the said John Lavender and there view and appraise all and every the said Goods and Chattels, being first sworn on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God, to make a true and perfect Inventory and Appraisement thereof, and to cause the same to be returned under yours hands or any three of you to the said John Lavender on or before the second day of March now next ensuing. Dated the 18th day of Jan Anno Domini, 1845 and in the sixty 9th year of American Independence. Witness my hand and seal of office the day and year above written. To Messrs. Sugar Coker J. J. The Petition of John Lavender administrator of the Estate of Nancy Coker deceased, SHEWETH, that for the purpose of effecting the payment of the debts of said Estate, and to prevent the loss of perishable articles, and also to facilitate a final distribution of said Estate, it will be absolutely necessary to make sale of all the personal property belonging to the Estate of Said deceased Your Petitioner therefore pray that an order for the sale of said property may be granted by the Court of Ordinary, for said purposes, the Court regulating the time and place of sale, and credit to be given in such manner as to do impartial justice to all concerned; and your Petitioner will ever pray, &c.
