In the the name of God Amen. ---- I Wiley Coker of Sumpter dist. & State of So. Carolina being very sick & weak, but of perfect mind & memory, thanks be given to almighty God for it. --- But calling to mind the mortality of my Body & knowing that it is appointed unto all men to die. --- I do therefore make & ordain this to be my last Will & Testament --- Imprimise. -- First & principally I give & commend my Soul into the hands of almighty God who gave it in sure & certain hope of the Risurrection. And my body I commit to the Earth to be buried in a christian like & decent manner at the discretion of my Executors hereafter to be named. --- And for such worldly good's as it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give & bequeath & dispose in the following manner & form, that is to say for all my lawful Debts to be first paid. I give unto my well beloved brother Thomas Coker all my lands lying on the East side of the Douglas Swamp Road to him & his Heirs forever. Silvy Coker Item: I give & bequeath unto my well beloved Mother ^ to be at her full disposal, all my Estate both real & personal (except the aforesaid lands lying on the East side of the Douglas Swamp Road) to her & her heirs forever. And lastly I appoint constitute & ordain my well beloved brother & trusty Friend Thos.
