Heirs of Philip Coker To F Rush State of South Carolina Sumter District Know all men by these presents that We Tabitha Coker, Dneas Coker, Neal W. Coker for the consideration of the sum of two hundred & seventy-five dollars to us paid by Frederick Rush the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold granted and released and by these presents do bargain sell grant and deliver unto said Frederick Rush all that Plantation or tract of land containing one hundred and fifty acres more or less situate or lying in the East-side of Douglas Swamp the waters of Black River and is bounded North west and South West by Frederick Rushes Land and North East are lands belonging to the Est of John Coker said lands being originally granted to Sutton Byrd and from his heirs surveyed to Philip Coker of the State and District of aforesaid and we the heirs of Philip Coker living in the State and district of aforesaid for the above considerations mentioned do bind ourselves in these articles as follows. We Tabitha Coker, Dneas Coker, Neal W. Coker do disclaim ourselves and our heirs executors administrators from the above mentioned land with its ways, woods, and waters and we do bind ourselves our heirs executors or administrators to warrant and forever defend the same premises (?) hereditaments to said Frederick Rush and his heirs executors and administrators against ourselves our heirs executors administrators or any person or persons lawfully claiming any part thereof whereunto we set our hands and seals this 21st day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five and in the seventieth year of American Independence of the United States.
