Tom, A Lucy Atkinson was one of my grandcestors: I have a little info but not much on her. Her parents were James and Elizabeth Atkinson who had Marmaduke, Shadrick or Shadrack, Federick or Frederick, Adwill or Atwell, Sylvia (who married a Spight), Martha (who married a Lenoir) Elizabeth (who married a Malone), and Lucy (who first married Wiley Fort and after his death, Gilbert Crosswell. Lucy and Gilbert had several children: John, William, James and Adwill. Gilbert died in Sumter Co in 1810 and Lucy died, I think, in Sumter Co. sometime after 1828.
