    1. Re: [SCSUMTER-L] "S" in Scott book
    2. Marie, I think that I understand. According to this book, and I have found many errors and incomplete information says that James Brunson (b. 1716), son of Isaac I and Margaret Brunson, m. Elizabeth Cantey (?). They did have a James but it just says D.1 James, Jr. (was said to have 100 acres on Black River at one time). He possibly had more, since most of the early Brunson settlers had much land. D.2 Isaac Brunson m. Suzannah (?) D. 3 Peter Edhea Brunson (d. 1836) m. Helena_______ which we have decided should be Winnifred. Cantey is such a good name for this area. I have another book called Kershaw County Cousins by Charlotte Boykin Salmond Brunson On page 125 It says, "The children of Josiah and Susanna Cantey were: Elizabeth Cantey married James Brunson, etc. " It gives no further information on Elizabeth Cantey and James Brunson. Josiah Cantey's parents are William Cantey of Craven, second son of John Cantey and Ann, and Arabella Oldys, dauther of Joseph Oldys. William and Arabella married before 1703. William died in 1729. Also Josiah, born before 1708 married first Elizabeth Boswood and second, Susannah___________. John's parents are George Cantey and Martha Cantey. George was the son of Teige and Elizabeth Cantey. You could go to http://SingletonFamily.org/ and look at the Cantey line. However, I just realized that there is a generation off. I would change it so you could get the real thing but I have to mail it to my son first. He has to make the change on the web page and then do whatever else he has to do to get it on the web. I don't know when that will be. I will try to get it straight tomorrow on my computer however. If you want to ask questions I will try to answer them. Jackie
