Thanks Cindy. I finally found some info last night on the SC highway page. IT does refer to a tribe of indian as far as the name. Now. That's all I've found, I see no reference as to it being a county, but the census says winya (spelled without the h) county. I know it's the same place though. :) Thank you for your help. Felisza
