MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Nola, There is a good part of one chapter devoted to the Barretts. They were all merchants and very successful ones before the Civil War. Isaac is mentioned in Charleston at the time and Judah and Jacob (his brothers) in Columbia. Mr. Scott (the author) worked for them for awhile. I cannot write it all here but I will type it up and send. it to you if you would like to email me your address . As I said he wrote so wonderfully of things he remembered so well that it is almost a "living history". ------End forward message---------------------------
