Does anyone have a missing William JORDAN maybe from GA or SC abt 1819? I have a William JORDAN that was a witness to a Bedford Co, TN, deed in 1819. The deed transaction involved my Zachariah JORDAN b in the late 1700s in SC? who married Tabitha STOKES b 1790 in GA. They married in Clarke Co, GA, in 1807 and were in TN by 1811. The only known sons that I have for Zachariah would have been too young to be a witness to a deed. I am assuming William could have been a son by a first marriage or a brother or some other relative. Zachariah is the only JORDAN listed in the 1820 Bedford Co, TN, census. So....what happened to him? Where was he from and where did he go? Thanks for any clues no matter how remote! Sandra
