He was a devout member of the Baptist Church. The deceased had been a resident of Spartanburg for many years. At one time employed in the machine shops at the Spartan Mills, but gave up that position to accept a place with Getsinger and Atkinson. When this firm went out of business MR. DAVIS opened a furniture and upholstering shop under the Spartan Inn. He was a splendid workman and never turned out a shoddy job. The death of MR. He is survived by his wife and several children. ---------- CARD OF THANKS I wish to express to my many friends of Campobello and community, my sincere appreciation of the many kindnesses shown myself and MRS. WALL during her recent illness and for the genuine sympathies they extended me in her death. GEO. W. WALL, Campobello, Jan. 5, 1909. ---------- nancie o.
