Fran Steadman Spartanburg Herald, Nov.26, 1935. MR. and MRS. STEADMAN Forest City, Nov. 25- Funeral services for MR. and MRS. WILBUR STEADMAN, who were fatally injured in an auto crash here Sunday night, will be held Tuesday from the Green Creek Baptist church in Polk County. MR. and MRS. STEADMAN leave 5 children, HAROLD, 19, did not accompany them to Forest City Sunday. MRS. STEADMAN was the daughter of MR. and MRS. JOHN SPAKE of Forest City, who survive, with the following brothers and sisters; MRS. GEORGE D. HORN, Forest City; EULA and HOLLIS SPAKE , at home, and LOWELL SPAKE of Chesnee. MR. STEADMAN was a son of MRS. A.B. KIMBRELL of Chesnee, when a small boy was adopted by his uncles , T.H. STEADMAN of Polk Co. who with his mother and step-father survive; also the following half-brothers, and sisters; MRS. CARL GILBERT, Chesnee, MRS.EDGAR PRINCE, Chesnee, PERRY and AILENE KIMBRELL at home, Chesnee rt.2. MR. STEADMAN had been residing in Spindale for about 10 years. He was a section foreman for the Spinners Processing company of that place. He was a veteran of World War. An inquest will be held sometime this week. Coroner R.L. HOVIS of Rutherfordton, impanelled the following jury this morning, who visited the scene of the crash and made investigations; OSCAR SMART, HUBERT HODGE, CLAUDE MILLER, L.H.
