    3. Laurensville Herald,Friday, November 23, 1928. Burial services were held at the Laurens cemetery yesterday for the REV. PIERCE R. KILGO, 38, whose death occurred at Anderson Tuesday , following a sudden heart attack. He had gone to Anderson for the sessions of the Upper SC Methodist conference and was stricken during the afternoon. He was pastor of the Methodist church at Seneca and is survived by his wife and 3 children. The body was placed at rest in the Kilgo plot beside the grave of a younger brother who died while the father, the REV. P.F. KILGO was the pastor of the First Methodist church of Laurens. Other members of the KILGO family were buried in the same plot. The deceased minister had been in the conference for about 10 years and had held pastorates at Rock Hill, Kinards, Camperdown and Duncan before going to Seneca. ---------------- Spartanburg Herald, Nov.26, 1935. MR. and MRS. STEADMAN Forest City, Nov. 25- Funeral services for MR. and MRS. WILBUR STEADMAN, who were fatally injured in an auto crash here Sunday night, will be held Tuesday from the Green Creek Baptist church in Polk County. MR. and MRS. STEADMAN leave 5 children, HAROLD, 19, did not accompany them to Forest City Sunday. MRS. STEADMAN was the daughter of MR. and MRS. JOHN SPAKE of Forest City, who survive, with the following brothers and sisters; MRS. GEORGE D. HORN, Forest City; EULA and HOLLIS SPAKE , at home, and LOWELL SPAKE of Chesnee. MR. STEADMAN was a son of MRS. A.B. KIMBRELL of Chesnee, when a small boy was adopted by his uncles , T.H. STEADMAN of Polk Co. who with his mother and step-father survive; also the following half-brothers, and sisters; MRS. CARL GILBERT, Chesnee, MRS.EDGAR PRINCE, Chesnee, PERRY and AILENE KIMBRELL at home, Chesnee rt.2. MR. STEADMAN had been residing in Spindale for about 10 years. He was a section foreman for the Spinners Processing company of that place. He was a veteran of World War. An inquest will be held sometime this week. Coroner R.L. HOVIS of Rutherfordton, impanelled the following jury this morning, who visited the scene of the crash and made investigations; OSCAR SMART, HUBERT HODGE, CLAUDE MILLER, L.H. SHERRILL, CARL HUNTLEY and A.L. TURNER. ----------------- Spartanburg Herald, Sunday, Sept. 10, 1911. MR. WILLIAM S. GEORGE, a Confederate veteran, 74 years old, died at the home of his son, REV. J.R. GEORGE at Glendale yesterday morning after 2 weeks illness. He is survived by his wife and 5 sons: REV. J.R. GEORGE of Glendale, H.G., of Switzer, W.M. of Gastonia, D.T. of Piedmont, and R.B. GEORGE of Pond Creek, Okla. The funeral will be held in the Glendale Baptist church this morning. Burial will be in the churchyard. ----------------- nancie o. - share, don't sell !
