Hello listers. I'm back again. Someone some time ago told me that on the 1910 Census for Landrum or Campobello twp Spartanburg there appears a listing for 1]Adams, Bettie, homeowner, F Single, age 50 with her neice Mamie Fisher age 20 and nephew Hector Fisher age 19 , both single. and next door a listing for her sister and husband 2] Wright, Gist W. homeowner, M Married 34 yrs age 57 and his wife, Wright, Adolphia Adams age 49 I have lost the Email that describes this entry and unfortunately it is the last I know of my Grandfather Adams family--he died in 1919 leaving no Father or Brother so I have only the Adams name to work with. [ Their Mother died in 1897 Millie Ann Adams b. 1826 buried in Landrum Cem.] The same person said that in 1920 Bettie did NOT appear at all and Gist Wright was there with a second wife and her children...so apparently both sisters either died or moved away between 1910 and 1920. I would like to know if it is possible to find anything about these sisters from the description of where they lived in 1910... The property must have been sold or devised at some time. Where could I locate that? And Assuming one died in Spartanburg in that time , was there likely to be a Death certificate issued? and where would it be available.? [I live in another state] I have no clue as to their Father's first name. In the 1880 census Bettie was there with three sisters and one brother [my Grandpa John Q , just before he migrated to Florida ] and their mother "Ann M. Adams Widow ,age 54". So I have no idea of their Mother's maiden name either. I will much appreciate any help with this family. Regards Steph Powell Cecil stephaxi@mindspring.com
