Hi, My Richardson that I have was b in NC in 1778, his father William Randolph Richardson was born in Ireland. They settled in the Greenville/Spartanburg areas by abt 1813. Does anyone know, and I'm not sure anyone can answer this question, if the Richardson family that has been recently mentioned in the Spartanburg journal of the early 1880s, one and the same?? One was a Governor, I believe the old paper said. My branch eventually left SC for Walker Co Georgia, then on to the Ozarks of Arkansas in 1856. My direct ancestors who left with some siblings, unk if parents of either also left SC, were David William Richardson and Catherine Satterfield (daug of Jesse Satterfield and Martha "Patsy" Harris who both were born in SC it's believed.
