We have only traced the Clement family back to my great-great grandfather James P. Clement, who I think was born on the homeplace off HWY 9. He was born July of 1822 and died in Jan. 1884. We do know his parents names were John and Margaret Clement, but have no records. Do you know if this is the same John mentioned in your query?
