"The Free Lance" Issue: September 23, 1904 MONUMENT TO DECEASED RECTOR: A handsome marble shaft 7 1-2 feet high has been placed over the grave of Rev. J. D. McCULLOUGH, former rector of the Church of the Advent here, by the congregation of the church. The design is that of a cross, a fit memorial to the memory of the dead rector whose life was devoted to Christianity and its cherished emblem, the cross. GARLINGTON Family Reunion Col. Stobo GARLINGTON of Laurens and other members of the family in Spartanburg and elsewhere are being notified of a reunion to take place in St. Louis on October 3. The secretary of the family reunion is Clifton CHAPELLE of Macon, Ga. There are several members of the family living in the state of Virginia also.
