My gg grandfather Calvin Bloomfield Clubb b. 01 June 1847 was born in Spartanburg, SC and was married to a Rebecca Reed/Reid. Calvin is the son of Joseph Clubb and Elaisah (spelling?). Calvin left SC and moved to Madison Co., NC...not really too far from Lincoln County. One of Calvin's brothers Clayton Clubb moves to Madison County also. Whose to say where Calvin's other siblings went. What I found from census records, Calvin had brothers: Passy?(could berely read census record), Heosea?, John? W. C.; sisters: ?? unreadable, Mary, and Elizabeth. Besides my Calvin Bloomfield Clubb's line, I've only been able to find descendants of brother Clayton. Most likely my Joseph had brothers whose children would of moved around and into NC. There's a William Clubb in Madison County who is older than my Calvin. We haven't found how he's related. Had hoped when I found the census record in Spartanburg County, would of found William would of been his brother. Well, If not his brother, perhaps a cousin, younger brother to Joseph? .....One of William's daughters merries a Reid woman, whose father is a brother to Cavin's wife. Did that make since?
