    2. 1942 FUNERAL SERVICES FOR G.W. JOHNSON June 1.- Funeral services for George W. JOHNSON of Roebuck, well-known Spartanburg county farmer who died Sunday morning at his home, were to be conducted at the Floyds mortuary ; interment in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be O.L. BRADY, J.L. BRICE, TOM HATCHETT, S.T. LANHAM, S.F. MOORE, DR. S. STRIBLING, J.E. WHISENANT and SAM WOFFORD. He was the s/o SAMUEL and NANCY BROWN JOHNSON, Cross Anchor. He was superintendent of Sptbg. county home and farm 1913- 1916 and for 10 years manager of Fernwood farms. Member of Bethel Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, MRS. MASSIE S. JOHNSON; 6 daughters, MRS. ALICE J. CONTAX, MRS. BOHNY J. BAER, MRS. ARRABELLE J. TUCK, MRS. GEORGIA J. BONHAM, MRS. COY J. MEYERS, all of Sptbg. and MRS. HELEN J. EZELL, Newberry; 5 sons, FRANK T., CARL L., FRED W., and JOE HILL JOHNSON, all of Sptbg. and DAN M. JOHNSON, Bamberg; 2 sisters, MRS. JOHN MONTGOMERY, Laurens and MISS WILL LINDSEY, Newberry and a brother, B.J. JOHNSON, Sedallia and several grandchildren. --- Newberry, June 4.- THOMAS W. DILLARD, 69, farmer, died yesterday at his home near Whitmire. He was a life- long resident of the community in which he lived. MR. DILLARD is survived by his wife, MRS. NORA RAY DILLARD; 4 daughters, MRS. CLARENCE DEAN, of Conshohocken, Pa., MISS MARY DILLARD, MISS DOROTHY DILLARD, and MISS SYLVIA DILLARD of Whitmire; 2 sons, RAY DILLARD, Whitmire and JOE H.
