"The Free Lance" Sept 2, 1904 Cowpens "Mr. and Mrs. J. B. WILKINS and little Harriet returned from Gaffney yesterday after spending several days with friends. -Mrs. J. B. WILKINS is confined to her room with a sprained foot." If I am correct, the above reference is a JOHN B. WILKINS, wife was FRANCE CALDWELL, they had a son HORACE born in 1906 along with HARRIETT, born in 1903. FRANCE CALDWELL is my great-grandfathers' sister. She was born around 1880 and died before 1916 as she was not listed in the settlement of my great-grandfathers' estate, but JOHN WILKINS, HORACE, and HARRIETT were. She was the daughter of J. J. CALDWELL and DRUSILLA KELLY (Drusilla died in 1900 in Darlington) J. J. remarried a BESSIE (believe last name was BLANTON) and they lived in Cherokee Co., SC until his death in 1916. I just acquired the above information week before last during a quick trip to that area. If anyone has any additional information on these families I would love to hear from you. Tanya C.
