"TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT" <http://genforum.genealogy.com/mcentire/messages/237.html> Re: Zach McEntire, Polk Co, NC>Fannin Co, TX Posted by: Christyn Burkham Date: June 15, 2001 at 12:30:10 In Reply to: Re: Zach McEntire, Polk Co, NC>Fannin Co, TX by Teresa of 405 Thanks, Teresa. New updates on my research have found that Zach is indeed the son of Aaron and Susannah McEntire. And, it looks like his wife is Myra Crocker, not Crockett. She had 5 children before marrying Zach. Myra, in 1870, was a domestic servant for Susan McEntire, Zach's mother in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Zach and Myra married sometime between 1880 and 1885. Then, they moved to Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Later, they moved to Fannin County, Texas. Zach died there in 1905 and Myra died there in 1923. I still don't know if Crocker was a maiden or married name or who the father of Myra's first 5 (of 10) children were. Any information from the McEntire clan would be appreciated.
