1916 WHITE MAN GONE FROM HOME Sept. 9- JOHN LONG, a white man, who is about 25 years old and is said to be slightly demented left his home on Arch St. Tuesday, Sept 5 and has not been found. LONG lived with his sister , who has been sick for several months and his mother. He left home and was tracked to the woods but could not be tracked no farther. When he left home he wore a white wool hat and dark colored coat and was barefooted , with his pants rolled rather high. His people connot search for him, and he is still missing. ----- DEATH OF LITTLE GIRL July 6- LUCY L. JONES, the 6 year old daughter of MRS. E.S. JONES of Jennings St., died this morning at a local hospital. The funeral will be held tomorrow in Oakwood cemetery. ----- July 5- W.R. McGRAW, boss carder at Spartan Mill, is suffering intense pain today at his home on Magnolia St. as the result of an automobile accident which occured yesterday at Asheville. The man was brought home last night on train no. 10, after he received medical attention from Asheville physicians. ----- YOUNG MAN DIED AT LOCAL HOSPITAL Aug.16- J. RAYMOND WRIGHT, 20 years of age, who came here two months ago from his home in Carolyn Co. Va., passed away at a local hospital this morning as the results of typhoid fever. The body will be taken to Philadelphia tonight for interment. The deceased was a son of WESLEY WRIGHT, a leading man of Va. The young man came here to assume a position with ALFRED WRIGHT, in the work of double- tracking the Southern road near here. ----- MRS. LEE IMPROVING Aug.16- MRS. GRADY LEE, sister of DR. J.F.
