1941 Obituaries Jan.20- Funeral services for MRS. MARY GREER SNOW, widow of the late H.R. SNOW who died at her home in Reidville will be conducted at the Sharon Meth. church of which she was a member, interment will follow in the family plot in the church cemetery ,beside her husband who died 17 years ago. Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers; MURRY, WALLACE , FRED, J.R., TOM, and JIM SNOW, JOHN HARLEY SMITH and H.R. SMITH, JR. MRS. SNOW WAS 85 years of age ; daughter of the late WILLIAM and EDY MaHAFFEY SNOW. She had made her home in the Reidville area all her life. Surviving; 3 sons, HENRY, WALTER and G.M. SNOW, all of Greer; 2 sisters, MRS. LILLIE SMITH , Greer and MRS. REBECCA SMITH, Switzer; 34 grandchildren, 51 g-grandchildren and 4 g-g- grandchildren. ----- Feb.23- GROVER C. He was the youngest son of the late CAPTAIN WILLIAM BEATTY SMITH, pioneer textile industrialist of the south. Surviving are the widow; a brother, J.MEEK SMITH, Clover; 2 daughters, MRS. G.H. McELVEEN, Bishopville and MISS WILLENA SMITH, Clover; 5 sons, ,all of whom live here.
