Rebecca (I believe this is Minerva Croker aka Crocker's sister and the daughter of James CROKER AKA CROCKER) age: 46, F. Leecel Conch age; 20, m. Silron " age: 18, m. Martha " age: 16, f. Alexander CROKER: age 6, m. Luncida RUSH : age: 28, (I believe a widowed daughter) Now, notice in the 1860 S. C. Census, Martinville P.O. ; her name is spelled CROCKER, and JAMES CROCKER'S youngest son, ALEXANDER CROCKER is living with her as a day laborer, he is not a negro....as Helen wrote me...he is her youngest BROTHER... and the JAMES CONCH's are still nearby...in H. H. 579 and Minerva CROKER AKA CROCKER , age 38 (oops, she forgot her age should be 42.) is H. H. # 595: Washerwoman Her daughter , SARAH is now called MINNIE CROCKER: age, 15, f. MILA is now spelled MYRA CROCKER; age: 13,(bn. 1845) f. Jason is no longer in the home, he would have been age 11: She has two younger daughters: Elizabeth age: 6, f. Ann ; age 3, f. I fully believe this woman Minerva CROKER AKA CROCKER had her children out of wedlock...... 1870 S. C. census find her in the Spartanburg Co. twp. of CHEROKEE; LIVING ALONE: H. H. 275; CROCKER, MINERVA; age: 50 (opps: forgot she was 52), f. Keeping House. Series : M. 593- Roll: 1508 pg. 398 So, my conclusion is MINERVA CROKER aka CROCKER was the daughter of JAMES CROCKER bn. 1790 in Spartanburg Co. S. C. whose wife is presently unknown...and parents maybe one of Arthur and Maryan CROCKER'S descendants... Mila or Myra was bn. in S. C. not N. C. as her McEntire descendants seem to think... there is a MINNIE in the Henry C. CROCKER family but she was born after MINERVA'S SARAH MINNIE CROCKER, IN 1880'S...
