Somebody asked about mad stones the other day. I surely didn't know they came from deer stomachs (thanks, Lisa!)but I do know that my great-grandmother had one. As late as the 1950s people used to come from miles around to get her when someone had been bitten by an animal suspected of having rabies. She rubbed it on the bite.
