CALDWELL- has accepted position as stenographer at the Locke Mills, Concord, N.C. - CHARLES WALKER- has accepted a position in the spinning room of the Riverside Mills, Danville, Va. - T.G. ORR- has resigned in carding to become overseer of carding at Edenton, N.C. - A.C. MEDLIN- from Gastonia, has accepted position at Dacotah Mills, Lexington, N.C. - SAM LOVELACE- is now filling position of overseer of weaving at the Alta Vista Mill, Va. - J.A. CAMPBELL- of Whitmire has accepted a position in spinning at the Lancaster Cotton Mill. - THOMAS LEAGON- of the Holland Mills, Gastonia, to accept position as second hand at the Dilling mill , Kings Mountain. - DAVID CARDWELL - of Greenville has accepted a position at the Raybell company in Selma, Ala. - H.P. REEVES -to accept overseer spinning at Chadwick- Hoskins Mill, Charlotte, N.C. { didn't they know , we would have a heck of a time trying to find them ? :} ----- LOST MAN HAS NOT BEEN FOUND July 22- After exhaustive investigations conducted by the people of the Sulphur Springs section of the county, the whereabouts of PETTIS LANCASTER, who has been missing from his home there since Monday night, had not been ascertained. If he met with foul play, as suposed by some, the body has not been found. The water has been pumped from the mine pits in that section where the man was last seen and where his hat was recovered. He is prominently connected and the mystery has stirred the entire community. He is 24 years of age. ----- CUTTING AT FAIR FOREST CHARLIE MOORE charged with assault battery with intent to kill on the person of DEWEY MILLS at Fair Forest on the fourth of July has been committed to jail for a preliminary investigation before Magistrate CORRY. It is alleged that MILLS was severely cut across the back with a knife. The trouble between the men has not been ascertained. ----- THEFT OF AUTOMOBILE J.S.
