1960 Pacolet, June 23- MRS. TEXANA BROWN WADDELL, 86, died in Cherokee Memorial hospital after a long illness. She was a member of Hammett's Grove Baptist church. Surviving are ; her husband, FELIX WADDELL, Gaffney ; two step-daughters, MRS. MARY BURL and MRS. OLA McINTYRE, N.C., and one step-son, LUMBO WADDELL, Spartanburg. Funeral services at the church, burial in church cemetery. Conducted by Rev. Herbert Womack. Shuford- Hatcher Funeral home in charge. ----- Johnson, June 17- JOHN OWEN CLARK, 62, died at his plantation home , following a brief illness. MR. CLARK was the s/o the late MR. and MRS. ROBERT CLARK, pioneer citizen of the Johnston area. He was a graduate of Wofford College in 1921. He was a member of the Johnston Methodist church and was a former president of the Men's Bible Class. He was active in civic affairs and was retiring president of the Lions Club. Mason, and member of the Ridge Fishing Club... Surviving are his wife, BESSIE BEAN WRIGHT CLARK; one daughter, ROBIN CLARK, Johnston; one son, JOHN OWEN CLARK, JR. of Univ. of Pa.; one brother, ALONZO S. CLARK, Johnston. LANFORD, 72, native of Woodruff and s/o the late ARTHUR and ALICE BREWTON LANFORD died at his home in Lynn Haven, Fla. after a long illness. He moved to Fla. 20 years ago.
