FOSTER of Greer, was in town Saturday. -Mrs. Degar BATES and sister and Mrs. Crate STEWART of Clifton, were in town Saturday. -Miss Pearl GIBBONS of Grover, N.C. is visiting her brother for a few days. -The Jas. SHELBY show was in town Saturday doing a rushing business. -Mrs. E. MARTIN and little daughter, Louis, went to Wofford on a visit Saturday. -Isaac McCOBSON, one of our most respected citizens is very sick. -J. R. BROWN left her Saturday for Philadelphia. -D. H. LIPSCOMB and son went to Gaffney yesterday. -S. B. WILKINS went to Spartanburg today. LIFE AT CAMPOBELLO: -Misses Annie and Rosa CAMP, two of Inman's popular young ladies are visiting at the home of their uncle, Capt. R. B. MONK. -Mrs. J. W. BRAMLETT, who has been visiting relatives at Baton Rogue, S.C. is at home again. -Ed HOWELL, operator at Willetts, N.C. is visiting his parents this week. -J. H. MITCHELL, of Greenville, spent several days in town last week on his way home from the seminary at Louisville, Ky. -Robt. McCLAIN, operator at Melrose, visited his parents her Sunday. -Tom MARTIN of Fair Forest, was in town last week tuning pianos. -Miss Fannie Camp, who has been in Spartanburg for some time paid a brief visit last week. -Miss Ama Lula WINGO is attending commencement of Limestone College. -Geo. BRAMLETT, of Greenville is visiting his uncle, Rr. J. W. BRAMLETT. -Ed BUSH, who is working in Spartanburg spent Sunday with his parents. -C. M. CANNON, returned home from Birmingham, Ala., last week where he was called by the death of his father. -Mrs. ROGERS, wife of Dr. ROGERS of Duncans, is visiting at Mr. Dave HOLCOMB's. -D. O. McCLAIN and C. M. EARLE are at home for a few days. FORK ROADS: -Last Friday Alex S. WINGO one of our best men, was seriously though not fatally hurt. He was carrying a heavy pole to a lumber kiln when a was tripped up by some brush and fell, his head striking a log and the one he was carrying fell on his cheek bone, breaking it and bruising his eyes. -Tom and Pope ODOM who were shot some weeks ago are well again. -Rev. J. F. FOWLER, of Campobello preached an excellent sermon to a large congregation yesterday. -Van HAMMETT recently lost three fine pigs, caused from eating cotton seed. -Mrs. Luther DURHAM has been very sick, but is better now. WELLFORD: -J.W. HASTINGS of Charlotte, N.C. has been spending several days with his brother, A. M. HASTINGS. While here he made a business trip around to see the merchants, soliciting tobacco trade. -J. O. COAN, the depot agent made a flying trip to Greenville yesterday morning. LANDRUM: -Mrs. SALAS of Greenville is stopping with Mrs. Noah CARPENTER for awhile. -Miss May LANDRUM, a teacher in the Clifton graded school is home for the summer. -Mrs. Warren FULLER has gone to Charlotte, having been called there by the illness of her husband. -Mrs. R. L. LEE has gone to Rock Hill to attend Winthrop commencement. -Mrs. Julia and Jack PRINCE are attending Converse commencement this week. -Geo. TURPIN has returned to Greenville after a few days visit to relatives here. -Mrs. WILLIS of Inman is spending a few days at Roland LEE's. -Mrs. Tyron COLEMAN of Carlisle is here to attend the MERRITT-HART wedding. -Miss Helen PRINCE, a student of Converse College, is expected home today. CULLINGS FROM COWPENS: -Miss Lizzie FARTIN has returned from Cherokee after teaching a successful term at the Williams school. -W. L. B. HINES and daughter, Miss Tina, went to Spartanburg today. -Mr. and Mrs. J. R. WEBSTER and Mrs. Janie MILLER went to Gaffney today. -B. E. WILKINS of Mary Louise Mills was on the streets today. -Miss Lovel MARTIN who has been in school at the Normal Collegiate Institute, Ashville, N.C. has returned to her home. -Miss Pearls GIBBONS returned to her home at Grover, N. C. yesterday. -T. L. BRYANT of White Plains is in town visiting his brother. -Mr. and Mrs. W. W. WILKINS spent Sunday, with General Champion and family of Cowpens battle ground section. -S. T.
