    2. On a similar note, if anyone on this board is interested, the Spartanburg Library has a book called "Piedmont farmer : the journals of David Golightly Harris, 1855-1870" This is a really neat book which is simply a transcription of the Journals of David Harris in the lower part of Spartanburg County. It's so interesting to get a first hand account of how people in this area lived back in those days. This book is particularly interesting as it covers the span of time from before until after the Civil War. > > From: Ken and Judy Jackson <kenjudyj@bellsouth.net> > Date: 2007/10/18 Thu PM 01:19:31 EDT > To: SCSPARTA@rootsweb.com > Subject: [SCSPARTA] Pictures/D.H.Ramsey > > Joy, > Those photos and the diary of Hattie Hill are really a treasure.
