He is either the natural child of Lewis Jones and Elizabeth Wright Morris or his Father died at about age 2 and Lewis and Elizabeth took him as their own child.Lewis and Elizabeth migrated to Hall County GA. With a name like Merriman I thought it might be a surname maybe a Mothers maiden name. Any help would be appreciated. Also looking for marriage record for Elizabeth and Lewis...
