I like to call her Morning. She was born in Spartanburg Co in 1836 and married John T. West. They lived in the Pauline, SC area. Morning and John West had 3 children: James, Martha and Melvin. I descend from James' line. James married Mary Elizabeth Weathers and had 7 children. James and Mary's oldest child is my grandmother, Fannie. I would love to know more about the history of this family and where they lived before settling in Spartanburg County. How fortunate that your grandmother Corrine is still living and hopefully can assist you some in knowing about the family. I would love to know more of my g-g-grandmother Morning. I don't know when she died and evidently her grave is unmarked. My grandmother Fannie's sister told me that she knew that John T. West was buried at Philadelphia Baptist Church in Pauline, but his grave must be unmarked. I went to the cemetery with her many years ago and we looked for a gravestone but could not find one. I'm looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully we can exchange some information. Rita Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
