Article from the magazine, dated 1909. I must mention this... H.C. THRUSTON, " Tallest Man in the World" This Texas giant , died at the home of his son Edward Thruston in Mount Vernon, Tex. at the age of 79 years. In 1832 there migrated from SOUTH CAROLINA and settled in Morgan Co., Mo. A family remarkable for its uplifting and moral influence and for the physical statue of its men. Five sons ranged in height from six feet six inches to seven feet and seven inches....it does not say how tall Comrade H.C. Thruston was but in the photo he appears to be at least eight feet + tall ! Is there anyone working on this family ? {Wonder how he managed to get through the war and not have been easily shot !} --- Nancie O'Sullivan --- drayton5@earthlink.net --- EarthLink: It's your Internet.
