Hello again. A woman I believe to be the Elder sister of my Grandfather JOHN Q ADAMS, was named BETTIE J ADAMS apparently owned a house [possibly her parents house as she was the eldest and perhaps the only unmarried child] in Campobello Twp, Landrum, Spartanburg Co. as late as the 1910 census. She was not there in the 1920 census, so probably had died or in any case moved away. I would like to find more info on Great Aunt Bettie. Perhaps her parents names for instance. Since I know that Bettie J Adams was living Landrum 1910 would there likely be a probate record of her real property when sold or devised sometime after that but before 1920 when she is NOT in the census? And if so can this be accessed ON LINE or how can it be checked? I do not live in SC. Is there an address for such requests? Thanks for any help Steph Powell Cecil stephaxi@mindspring.com
