Alberry Cleveland Cannon of Spartanburg was married to Carrie Fitzgerald. He was a successful ice merchant, and early Water Commissioner of Spartanburg, and member of Central Methodist Church. He would have been born somewhere around 1840 to 1860, going by the birth dates of his children. Alberry Cleveland and Carrie Fitzgerald Cannon had two sons, (maybe more) 1) Alberry Pearl Cannon, born 10.16.1882 in Spartanburg, who married Mary Ella "Mada" Cowart,called "Dolly" daughter of Martin Calvin Cowart and Mary Pemlia Barnett of Flat Rock, NC also 2) Chalmers L. Cannon (no more info) Alberry and Chalmers moved to Greenville SC. Alberry was a supervisor with the Southern Railway and later went into business with his brother , Chalmers in the Cannon Brother Co, which later was Cannon Wholesale Co on River Street in Greenville, SC. Members of Buncombe St United Methodist Church in Greenville. If anyone has information on Alberry Cleveland and Carrie Fitzgerald Cannon, dates of birth and or death, and WHERE THEY ARE BURIED in Spartanburg, I would appreciate hearing from you.
