Hello..... Does anyone here have easy access to the 1870 Census for Spartanburg? I thought I had some info from it , but now can't find it. Or is it on line somewhere that I can search myself? I am looking for my ADAMS family and think I may have different names than I checked before. Father,[my great grandfather]-- if living in 1870 --should have been about 40-45. First Initial may be Q or O or C. and Mother, who was head of house in 1880, was listed then as "Ann M. Adams, widow, age 54" so would have been 44 or 45 in 1870. Her tombstone in Landrum Cemetery has been reported as reading..... "Millie Ann Adams w. of Q B{?}" " b.May 8 1826, d.July 15 1897" I wonder if the "Q B" is clear or if it could be other letters. Their only son was named John Quincy [b.1852]but then so were half of the Adams boys born in that century. it seems. Three of their five daughters were living next to each other in Campobello in 1900 census and two were still there in 1910, Bettie Adams and Adolphia Adams Wright. Thanks for any help.
