I have found my great grandfather in the 1900,1910,1920,1930 SC Census records but still don't know his parents names. He was already married for one year in 1900. Vital records in Spartanburg, SC can't find his death certificate. DHEC can't find his death certificate. His name was Clarence Augustus "Gus" Lee. In 1900 he was in Spartanburg Co., Spartanburg Twp. In 1910 he was in same as above. In 1920 he was in Cherokee Co. In 1930 he was in Cherokee Co., Draytonville Twp. All census records state born South Carolina. One census states carpenter, one states farmer, one states none. He was born between 1870 and 1875 depending on what you are looking at. His tombstone at New Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery states born 11 June 1870, Died 8 Dec. 1940. He was married to Emma Zone Lamb daughter of Francis Marion "Frank" Lamb and Emily Mary Ann Martin. He states in census record that he was born 1875. His age in another census record would mean he was born in 1873. Is there anyone out there who can help me? Denise Gosnell Mangel
