Moore. He was born in South Carolina in about 1824, most likely in Spartanburg County. He was married to Ellender Nellie Floyd who was born in the Spartanburg area in 1836. They both wound up in Plainville Georgia. There is a likely tie to Captain Theophilus Moore (1830 Spartanburg Census). I found that Theophilus Moore relocated to Spring Town, Gordon County, Georgia, from South Carolina just as my Great, Great Grandfather, Thomas J. Moore did (1860 US Census). The age is right for Theophilus to be Thomas's father, but I couldn't find any other confirming facts. I also found records for David Floyd, father of Ellender Nellie Floyd, my Great, Great Grandmother, in the 1830 Spartanburg Census, as well as his grandfather Enoch Floyd.
