"Carolina Spartan" Issue: June 4, 1884 Mrs. Jackson TUCK sent us some butter last week, and on examination it seemed to be first class, golden Jersey butter. Mr. TUCK said the cow from which it was made came from the Jersey stock that Capt. J.E. BLACK had about Cherokee Springs. The dwelling of Mr. D.C. GIST, in Union county, was burned last week. The fire was discovered at 11 p.m., and from the place where it originated it was evidently the work of an incendiary. It was built since the war and was insured in the Germania [?] for $2,000. Mrs. R.D. GALBRAITH left Monday evening for Lenoir, N.C., to visit her sister, Mrs. WADDELL. Dr. J. N. While coupling and shifting cars in the yard at Charlotte. He fell between the cab and coach and had his head partly cut in two. He has a wife in Central, and relations in this County. William CHOICE, Esq., went to Dakota on a visit in the southern part of the territory along the 44th parallel of latitude. Our personal last week made Dr. W.C. BROWN of Belton the sister of Capt. We hope they will return again this summer when we propose to get the relationship straight. "Carolina Spartan" Issue: June 25, 1884 The Free Library is well patronized. Mr. E.B.
