WAGENER, SC---Otis Garvin Sr, 75, died Sunday, July 1, 2001 at Mattie C. Hall Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2001 at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Salley, SC. Burial will be in Tobins Memorial Family Cemetery.. Mr. Garvin was a native of SPRINGFIELD, SC. He was the son of the late James & Frances Tyler Garvin, and was a member of Oakey Spring Baptist Church. He was a farmer and was retired from Wagener Milling & Feeds Company. He was the husband of the late Johnnie Mae Tyler Garvin. Survivors include 2 daughters, Sherry Dianne Wise & Dorothy Staley, both of Wagener; 5 sons, David Garvin of MONETTA, SC, Leon L. Garvin, Otis Garvin Jr. & Paul Edwards, all of WAGENER, and Ernest Edwards of AIKEN, SC; 3 brothers, Samuel Garvin of BROOKLYN, NY, J. D. Garvin of WASHINGTON, DC, & Albert Garvin of SALLEY, SC; 2 sisters, Carrie Davis & Blondie Isaac, both of WASHINGTON, DC; 27 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
