I have a copy of the Willis family file compiled by H. C. Ouzts. It is an "electronic file cabinet" of connected, unconnected. provem and unverified Willises form the Edgefield/Saluda area. He has your John Daniel Willis and his father is listed as: 1- Daniel Willis (b. 1746 Craven NC, m. Elizabeth Moore (b. 1750 New Bern NC, d. 1834 Bladen NC), d. 1827 Bladen NC) Ridge SC 2- John Daniel Willis [1783](m. Margaret (Peggy) Williams (b. 1785 SC, d. 1880 SC)[Fam ?], 1810 SC)[1850][1860][1870] He has 118 individuals connected to this Daniel Willis b. 1746.
