I attended a 50th anniversary luncheon at USC Aiken on Tuesday for individuals and their descendants of the inhabitants of what is now the SRS and was then the towns of Dunbarton, Myers Mill, Ellenton, and various rural areas. I am certain (documented) that individuals from the counties of Aiken, Barnwell, Beaufort, Hampton, Jasper or their descendants were affected.
