    3. Stephen is not listed but I did find this: From # 206 & # 96 Executive Department Monday 6th May 1811 On Application ORDERED That passports be prepared for the following persons to travel thro' the Creek Nation of Indians, to wit. One for Messrs. Isaac Jackson, and Lawrence Moore, both from Anson County North Carolina, and one for Messrs. John Middleton, Gardner Ford, And Thomas Dods [sic], the former with his wife and two children, all from Fairfield District, South Carolina. Which was presented and signed. 702 I also found in # 429 ( SOUTH CAROLINA GENEALOGIES), volume III Middleton of South Carolina, beginning about 1664. It is much too long to send as an email but if you need it let me know and I will mail it to you. First known document was Mar. 1803 in Natchez/Adams Co. They traveled with Fords, Mayfields, Herrings, Mays and Mundays. They probably arrived in Natchez MS around 1802.
