Does anyone know of a place name "Langster" in South Carolina? THANKS, Jimmy Payne paynedj@bellsouth.net
Perhaps a vocal contraction of "Lancaster"? which is a county in South Carolina. I just looked at the road map for SC. There is no Langster South Carolina. I live in the state and have never heard of it. Most likely, the spelling of the word Lancaster has been spelled on the tombstone the way it sounds to the carver of the stone. I would accept it as Lancaster. -----Original Message----- From: paynejd@bellsouth.net To: SCROOTS-L@rootsweb.com Sent: Fri, 23 Jun 2006 05:47:24 -0500 Subject: [SC] LANGSTER SOUTH CAROLINA Does anyone know of a place name "Langster" in South Carolina?
