In the Kershaw County Historical Society there is a family Bible of the Alexander and Harriet McLeod family listing a son Jesse L. born in Kershaw county Feb 28, 1847, two marriage dates with no names of a wife, Dec 13,1870, and Dec 26,18??,(my copy is poor, but the original is legible), died March 22, 1922. I did not record any other items re: JesseL. The von Hacke records at Sumter Genealogical Society lists a Jesse L. McLeod, married Margaret Josey, with 5 children: Mattie M. born 6/10/1874, died 3/11/1963, married Samuel Foxworth; Lucille M. married (no name listed) Newman, living Mayesville 1963: Daughter (no name listed) married W.T. McLeod, living Camden 1963; P.B. McLeod (son) a minister, living Conway 1963; John A. living Sumter 1963.
