She was born in St. Matthews, SC and was a graduate of Furman University. Survived by husband , Leon L. Kitchens, Jr.; daughters, Clarice Jones of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Becky Smith of Decatur, GA, Carolyn Haynes of Birmingham, AL; sister, Lora Fogle of Orangeburg, SC; and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of A.S.Turner & Sons at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Jonathan Spencer officiating. Interment Decatur Cemetery.
