William Gregg Sr. was born abt. 1743 and lived with his wife, Jane in Newberry co., S.C. This william and Jane are said to have traveled from Belfast, Ireland in 1772 on the ship "Lord dunluce" with a Presbyterian congregation. The rev. William Martin led many to the free world. William applied for a land warrant in Jan. 1773 in S.C. along with a John Gregg, supposedly his brother. Williams children were Nancy, John, William, Mary and Thomas. Williams son John married Jane Gladney and daughter Mary married Samuel McCalla, who was justice of the peace for a while in Newberry co. does anyone have any info on this family? Frances
