If anyone has anything on any FREMDER anywhere in SC, please let me know. My great grandmother's maiden name was Wilhelmine Caroline Fremder and she was born August 13, 1854, I think in SC. Her family was supposed to be from Germany, but don't know when they came over here. She was the second wife of Dr. John Edward W. STROBEL. They married April 26, 1871 In some places her first name is spelled Wilhelmine and in some places it is spelled Wilhelmina, but she went by the nickname for her middle name, CARRIE.
