Hi, That's my web page listed above. I will provide the links in the signature of my letter. I do not yet know if my DAVIS line is connected to the "John's Island Davis's" that I have heard so much about. I would love to make a connection and would like to corrospond with anyone who has the John's Island, SC Davis line in their database. I do know that my first DAVIS, Samuel Davis, Sr. (1660-abt 1738), cooper and planter, married Elizabeth (?) Stanyarne (possible Edisto Stanyarne family???). He owned two plantations, one on the Wadmalaw River and the other on Bohickett Creek, in what was then Colleton County, SC. My knowledge if this is based on the research of E. Stanley Barnhill, whose manuscripts can be found at the South Carolina Historical Society, at 100 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC. I am interested in hearing from anyone who can place my DAVIS line with the Davis' of John's Island, SC, whose family still remain there, so I am told.
