Being there are so many new Morrises on this list maybe one can connect to mine. He is my brick wall!! WILLIAM J.[JACKSON] MORRIS b. ca 1819 MS. father b. SC, mother b. NC according to his 1880 census. He married Cassandra Ruth Middleton 1844 Franklin Co. MS. They lived in Wayne Co., Jasper Co. and possibly Clarke Co. all in MS. They moved to St. Landry Parish LA 1862 and then moved to Fayette Co. TX ca. 1868. Then on to Refugio Co. TX, San Antonio, Bexar Co. TX. I have found 4 of their children and families living in various counties in the south eastern part of TX. He was listed as a doctor of Medicine in 1880 cen.
